Membership Beach Activities Registration
All programs cover a two-week period, called a session. During the summer we offer four sessions. Sign-ups for all four sessions will be on DAY ONE of each session, one hour before the start of the program.
SWIMMING LESSONS
To sign up for swimming lessons, a swimming lesson sign up form needs to be filled out for each child and simply deposited in the appropriate box available at the guard shack. Boxes will be available the week before the start of the session. The boxes will not get touched till one hour before the start of the class on day one of each session. Members may also choose to stand in line and sign up their children for classes one hour before the start of the class.
As all levels are offered at all times, numbers will be restricted to maintain class size. Please do not request for your child to have lessons at 10 a.m. today, 1 p.m. tomorrow, etc. Consistency is important for the child to develop.
All children are guaranteed swimming lessons.
BOATING LESSONS
Registration for boating lessons will be done on a walk-in basis, one hour prior to the start of the class, at a table set up next to the bulletin board. NO registrations will be accepted prior to the first day of the session or accepted over the telephone.
Boating Lesson Registration
Numbers are restricted as the boats can only hold so many. Only one session is advised for rowing and canoeing lessons. Two or more sessions are recommended for sailing. Lessons are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please do not sign up for lessons unless you can make a commitment as lessons are in great demand. Changes may be made to the program if classes are not full, and there is a need for more sailing classes.
PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS
Sign-up forms will go up on the back of the bulletin board at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Lessons are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Extra time slots may be allocated for lessons at different times if staffing permits.
TEEN/TWEEN/HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Application forms and health forms must be filled out and returned to the Main Office by June 20. Thereafter all forms should be handed in at the guard shack. Space for members is only guaranteed up till June 1. From June 2, the program is open to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
ROPES
Sign-up forms will go up on the back of the bulletin board at 1:30 p.m.
CAMPOUTS
Sign-up forms will go up on the back of the bulletin board on the Monday before the scheduled camp-out. No-one has ever been closed out of a camp-out.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
No sign-ups are required for arts and crafts, environmental education, tot time, story time, fishing, aqua-aerobics and games. All groups meet at the guard shack and return to the guard shack. Please note: Activities are for members only. Guests may not participate or join in lessons.
